Honor 20 release date confirmed in a cryptic teaser: What to expect

The Honor 8S does not feature a rear-facing fingerprint sensor, and the smartphone is most likely to feature FaceUnlock, based on the 5 MP selfie camera to provide added security to the smartphone. Only days after OnePlus launches its OnePlus 7 series at an event on May 14, Honor has confirmed that it will be launching Honor 20 series, a premium flagship successor to the Honor 10 series, at an event in London on May 21. So what do you expect to see on the HONOR 20? Another cryptic clue in the invitation is an equation featuring a series of number fours.

Before the Honor 20 launch, there will also be an Honor 20i launched - we may get as many as five different Honor 20 variants according to reports.

Alongside the Honor 20i, the company would launch Honor Magicbook 2019 in China. The Honor View 20 isn't flawless since it sports an LED panel which is of course not the best in the market. We won't be surprised if the Honor 20 tries to match up to the Huawei P30 Pro in some aspects. On the other hand, the number "4" could suggest that there will be four models of the HONOR 20, including the HONOR 20 Pro and HONOR 20 Lite. The shared teaser photos on social media hint the company's focus on offering good low light photography. The smartphone, reportedly dubbed Honor 8S, will come with a waterdrop notch display and an octa-core processor under the hood. The smartphone would be powered by HiSilicon Kirin 710 SoC, same as its parent company's Huawei P30 Lite. The camera on the front, which is the major attraction, is a 25-megapixel shooter and the rear camera module sports a 48-megapixel sensor from Sony. The smartphone is backed up by a 3,400mAh battery. The device will allegedly support 22.5W fast charging, while three variants of the device are rumored to cost 2,999 Yuan ($446), 3,399 Yuan ($506), and 3,799 Yuan ($565). So, stay tuned for further updates from Honor Malaysia regarding the new triple camera phone on this coming Wednesday, 17 April.
