Mobile Carriers Competitively Raise Subsidies for Galaxy S10 5G

Mobile Carriers Competitively Raise Subsidies for Galaxy S10 5G

According to a report from Bloomberg, the phone will be available to pre-order in the USA from April 18, with a tentative release date of May 16 - if that's correct, it'll actually launch after the Samsung Galaxy Fold.

With the way technology is improving, one will wonder if we can keep the pace. A researcher who goes by darkshark9 was able to trick the Galaxy S10's ultrasonic fingerprint sensor with a well thought out facsimile. Verizon has already launched the 5G Moto Mod for the Moto Z3, which is a new accessory for the 2018 phone that creates a massive handset that can connect to 5G networks - assuming there's enough coverage, of course.

The only thing that remains to learn is how much Verizon will charge customers for the 5G-powered flagship and whether or not there will be any promotions that will make the device more appealing.

Mobile carriers are competitively developing and introducing photorealistic live streaming services and virtual reality experiences to prove that 5G network is a change that is worth the cost of purchasing a new phone and plan.

Hours later U.S. giant Verizon began commercial services in Chicago and Minneapolis, after rival AT&T made a 5G-based system available to selected users in parts of 12 cities in December. Then using an AnyCubic Photon LCD resin printer, he printed a 3D image of his fingerprint and used it to fool the Galaxy S10's under-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

That's still not even close to $1,000+, the amount you'll probably have to pay for the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G.

Unfortunately, those speeds are most of the time achieved in lab conditions, so if you're located I Chicago or Minneapolis, you'll probably get download speeds of around 450Mbps.

This is similar to the 6.7-inch Samsung Galaxy S10 5G, which launches in Korea today, 5 April.

When Samsung launched the Galaxy S10 range there was one phone it announced that wasn't released with the rest - the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G. It has data transmission speeds 20 times faster than the current 4G long-term evolution (LTE) wireless technology.
