BTS have broken a YouTube viewing record with their latest music video

The group will also perform the song with Halsey at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards, where they are nominated in the categories for Top Duo/Group and Top Social Artist.

The Korean septet has built a fan base that's broad (its videos are viewed many hundreds of millions of times each), deep (its fans tend to be intensely devoted, especially on social media) and fully worldwide (its new record, Map of the Soul: Persona, is nearly certain to top the US album charts this week).

The feat was made even sweeter because BTS broke the record set by arch-rivals Blackpink whose Kill This Love video took 62 hours earlier this month.

BTS now holds the MOST-VIEWED 24-hour DEBUT streaming record on YouTube with 78 million views! The band released the official video for Boy With Luv on Friday, and it's already had more than 109 million views.

However, while they were busy celebrating that milestone, BTS were also being met with the news that their latest single, "Boy With Luv", had broken a YouTube viewing record.
