Festival-goers told to run as fire breaks out at Coachella overnight

A huge blaze broke out at popular California music festival Coachella following the first night of performances.

Ariana is the festival headliner for Sunday while Tame Impala headlines on Saturday and Donald Glover (Childish Gambino) headlines on Friday.

Fire services said that they responded to the fire at around 2am after revellers said they hear an explosion.

Twitter users managed to record video as flames engulfed the shower unit.

Firefighters arrived on the scene shortly after 2 a.m. "Mobile Shower Unit in Lot 8 Storage Area".

Two trailers were involved in the fire, one damaged and another destroyed.

No injuries were reported after a fire started at the Coachella grounds early Saturday, according to the local fire department. Fire crews will remain on scene for 1 hour for overhaul.

The 2019 Coachella festival kicked off last night, and already there seemed to have been some nearly deadly issues for concertgoers as a fire broke out on the campgrounds.
