And this record-breaking number holds a special meaning for Holzhauer: his daughter was born on November 9, 2014 (aka 11/09/14). The 34-year-old had no problem crushing a almost decade-old record of $77,000 set by Roger Craig in 2010. He will face two new challengers Wednesday.

In Tuesday's episode, Holzhauer entered the final round with a total of $72,600, betting $38,314.

Before Craig, "Jeopardy" star Ken Jennings held the highest amount won in a single show with $74,000.
