Russell Westbrook: Thunder star THREATENS NBA fan after 'RACIST' verbal assault

Russell Westbrook: Thunder star THREATENS NBA fan after 'RACIST' verbal assault

Russell Westbrook threatened a female fan and her male companion when the Oklahoma City Thunder player got into another heated exchange with Utah spectators during a National Basketball Association game on Monday. The other one was issued after a fan, whom the Tribune identified as Shane Keisel, allegedly made a disrespectful and racial comment directed at Westbrook on Monday night.

Before Game 4 of Oklahoma City's first-round playoff matchup against the Jazz, a fan called him "boy".

Westbrook was also fined $25,000 after the language he used in the video surfaced. I'll (expletive) you up; you and your wife.

Bill Simmons spoke about Utah's reputation among players for nasty fan behavior, in his most recent podcast.

"I didn't confront fans; fans confronted me", Westbrook said after the April game.

After the game, Westbrook gave his explanation: "How it started was, a young man and his wife in the stands told me 'to get down on my knees like you used to.' To me, that's just completely disrespectful, to me, I think it's racial, and I think it's inappropriate and insensitive".

At the conclusion of the game, Pacers forward Thad Young spoke glowingly about his former teammate, going as far to say that George is playing way better than he did with IN, where he made multiple All-Star teams. "There is no place in our game for personal attacks or disrespect". "I have never been in any trouble, never fought a fan, and been in the league 11 years and a clean slate", Westbrook said after the game. But don't threaten a woman.

Now, let us be clear: we want you to be loud. "If it is determined that any fans violated the NBA Code of Conduct, appropriate action will be taken". TMZ Sports obtained video last week of New York Knicks owner James Dolan at Madison Square Garde n when he heard a fan that he was walking past yell "Sell the team". "So this guy needs to be exposed".

The Oklahoma City Thunder star clashed with the fan during the game against Utah on Monday night, which the Thunder won 98-89.

NBA Twitter discovered Keisel's Twitter account which had previously disparaged Westbrook and has made other racist statements in the past.

Miller noted in an email to season ticket holders that they are "accountable for whoever sits at [their] seats - whether [they're] at the game or not", and that the Jazz have the right to revoke the season tickets of seats in violation.

Irving would continue his discussion, speaking on human nature and though not defending Westbrook's response to the fan in terms of what he said, defending the former MVP's character and acknowledging that fans can tend to cross the line in their comments towards players.
