Slack’s Latest Update Adds Dark Mode for iOS and Android

Slack’s Latest Update Adds Dark Mode for iOS and Android

Here's how you can set it up right away.

On dark mode, the individual pixels will do less work in dark areas.

If you're more bothered by the color of Slack messages than the contents therein, the Slack dark mode was made for you.

However, the leak reveals that Q will get an extended dark mode to places, such as the settings menu.

There's no question that "dark modes" are super hot right now, with the likes of Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Google Chrome, Android, Windows 10 and MacOS happily entering their goth phase over the last few months. Unfortunately, individual apps are under no obligation to follow the lead of Android, but some elements (like the quick settings pane) will turn darker.

As yet, iOS doesn't have an official dark mode. You may have noticed it's hidden at the moment-hidden until you send someone, anyone a crescent emoji.

You can enable YouTube's dark mode on the web (for the current browser only) by clicking your avatar, then Dark theme.

If you're already in the beta programme and use either iOS or Android, congrats! On Android, there's an extra General screen to tap into before you find the toggle switch. In fact, you can stay up all night working now. Yay.

There are so many tools and features in Slack that can help make you a more productive team member and many ways to maximize the use of the app. Apparently more dark mode colour options might be on the way.

With this update, the dark mode will dominate this year. The feature is now available only on the Beta version of the iOS and Android application.

Now, you've successfully enabled the Google Feed on Nova Launcher. Night mode is easier on your eyes and easier on your device's battery. The background should be turned into dark grey color and text into white color. For the time being there's no such option available on the web.

If you are already signed up for the beta program, you just need to make sure that you have updated to the latest version of the app to gain access to the dark mode option.
