Kelly's Girlfriend's Parents Admit to Failing Their Daughter

Last week, Kelly was arrested again for not being able to pay outstanding child support.

"He's the problem. He don't have a sickness; he made a choice", Angelo said, referring to Kelly.

On Feb. 22, just weeks before the child support case, the 52-year-old singer was charged with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. No change in his child support payments.

Later on in the interview, the parents say that Azriel had been suicidal in the past, having found her submerged in water before taking her to the hospital.

The 52-year-old singer secured his release by paying 10 per cent of his United States dollars 1 million bail amount. He pleaded not guilty to the charges.

In 2017, BuzzFeed News reported that Kelly was allegedly holding women in a "cult"-like atmosphere".

In the interview, he believes that people are "conspiring against him" and that he has "such a big heart" because people are using him for their own gains.

"So you're saying you trusted her", King said.

Speaking to Gayle King on American broadcaster CBS News, Angelo Clary, father of Azriel Clary, said: "I feel like I failed my daughter because I should have saw different signs".

As for the criticism they say they face for letting their then-17-year-old daughter go on tour with Kelly despite the rumors surrounding him for decades, they say, ultimately, they trusted their daughter.

The Clarys were featured in Lifetime's "Surviving R. Kelly" documentary, where they discussed how their daughter met Kelly when she was an aspiring teenage singer.

"I mean my anxiety is constantly through the roof because I hear the parents, I hear there's a plan in place", she said referring to Kelly's two young girlfriends, Joycelyn Savage and Azriel Clary.

Greenberg, in an interaction with the press, told them that the women can make whatever decision they want to make about seeing their parents as they are adults, adding that Kelly does not control them. See, I've been through that.

However, Greenberg did address talk of a meeting between Kelly's girlfriend Jocelyn Savage and her family and the singer's other girlfriend Azriel Clary with her family. Michael Avenatti, who represents Clary's parents, responded to these claims in a tweet, stating they never asked for money and that Kelly was lying because it's not possible for all the parents and victims who are accusing him are liars.

The singer was unable to meet the deadline and was thrown behind bars, where he remained for three days until an anonymous donor covered the fee to secure Kelly's release.

Paperwork didn't indicate who paid on his behalf and a spokesperson for the jail said the person wanted to remain anonymous. Rather for a chance for the victims to get their day in court and have Kelly answer for his crimes of decades of sexual abuse and assault.

He told King he had about $350,000 left in his bank account. They are sure as heck wouldn't be checking the cameras to see if they're rolling before another outburst.
