Giants are trying to trade Odell Beckham Jr., per report

With the Antonio Brown saga finally winding down after the Oakland Raiders struck a deal for the wideout, attention now shifts to Odell Beckham Jr. moving forward. They included the Browns and San Francisco 49ers, according to sources.

Beckham signed a five-year extension worth up to $95 million with the Giants on August 27, 2018. Howe's colleague Michael Lombardi took things a step further on Tuesday, reporting that one National Football League team is "convinced" the Giants would trade the star wide receiver for the right offer.

When seeing this, it's a sigh of relief for most Giants fans, including myself.

The New York Giants are functioning in a weird sort of way, floating in an Eli Manning-created limbo, unable to really rebuild but also not really capable of rebooting either.

Another earlier report said the Giants would not entertain offers for Beckham unless they were "overwhelmed" by an offer.

The Browns most definitely would be a front-runner, according to Ben Axelrod of WKYC in Cleveland.

Bleacher Report's Matt Miller believes the Browns are probably the favorite to land Beckham, if he's traded.

This explains why they are still apparently discussing a possible Odell Beckham deal, or at least engaging in Odell Beckham trade talks.

"The betting odds agree, with Bovada giving the Cleveland (+285) the second best odds of being Beckham's team at the start of the 2019 season, trailing only the Giants (-190)", writes Axelrod. Beckham's productivity on the field is still unmatched despite missing four games this past season and 11 games in 2017.
