Chance the Rapper, Kirsten Corley skip the lakefront, marry on oceanfront

According to a source, the couple was happy to witness Chance and Kirsten get married.

American artiste Chancelor "Chance The Rapper" Bennet wedded his childhood sweetheart Kirsten Corley at a secret location at the weekend. The couple's three-and-a-half-year-old daughter Kensli also participated in the lavish ceremony, which featured white floral arrangements. Chance is seen asking in a video of the proposal shared on social media. The pic's caption read, "Chance The Husband!"

While the couple's wedding took place this weekend, the Chicago Tribune revealed they actually legally tied the knot in a civil ceremony at the Cook County clerk's office in Chicago on December 27 previous year.

The rapper took to Twitter Wednesday to reveal how he first met his wife.

According to a tweet from fellow Chicago-based designer and owner/founder of Fat Tiger Workshop Joe Freshgoods, guests included comedian Dave Chappelle, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, gospel artist Kirk Franklin, and visual artist and longtime collaborator of Chance's, Hebru Brantley.

When they did make it close to Chance and Kirsten, Kanye was seen at times on his phone, likely doing business.

"I knew I was gonna marry that girl", he said. He opted out of upstaging her Destiny's Child choreography, deciding that "this wasn't the time or place".

After months of anticipation, Chance and Kirsten Corley experienced the life-changing celebration this past weekend. "Not just because it wasn't my party, not because it was their moment to dance, not even cause I was nervous about dancing in front of folks".
