Battlefield 5's Firestorm Battle Royale Mode Leaks In New Video

Since DICE has yet to officially show off any Firestorm gameplay, this leaked, 90-second video is all we have to go on. We've heard various bits of information about this first battle royale mode in a Battlefield game, but fans of the series have been kept waiting for it to be patched into Battlefield 5. "As we move forward, Multiplayer remains our core focus".

In true battle royale style, players will begin a Firestorm match by parachuting onto the map.

Urban areas will give you a better chance of grabbing some decent gear, but they are likely to attract more players and therefore represent a greater threat of danger.

To more check out the Battlefield 5 Firestorm trailer above to know more.

Looking at the above video carefully, there does seem to be some glaring differences that will hopefully make Firestorm stand on its own.

The files also mentions safes and vehicles "breakouts", healing and amour resupplies, and offers some more information on the reinforcements mentioned in the trailer.

As with other battle royale games, ammo isn't always easy to find, so you will need to manage your inventory and share with teammates in Duos and Squads to survive and win. The game's Firestorm mode is due out this month - the exact date has yet to be set, but it shouldn't be too long now - but we've heard precious little about it up until now. Can other players tell if a safe is being hacked nearby?

The video reveals a number of vehicles coming to Firestorm, and they're quite wide ranging, including personal vehicles for one person, squad vehicles, flying vehicles, water vehicles, and heavy vehicles.

The datamine, which comes courtesy of reddit user Temporyal, points to your standard 3 playable battle royale modes, solo, duos and 4-man squads, with a maximum of 64 players across all four modes. But as this looks like a legit tutorial for Firestorm - we can probably expect an official announcement and launch soon.
