Samsung and Spotify first started to work with each other in August of previous year, when Spotify was announced as the primary music service for Samsung's Galaxy Home speaker.

U.S. customers who have not tried out Spotify Premium can redeem 6 months of the paid-tier service for free within the app on their eligible device. Interestingly, some of those who have pre-ordered the new Samsung Galaxy S10 flagship phone have received their units with the seal tape cut on the side.

Spotify is also integrated with Samsung's intelligence platform Bixby, which it says enhances the Bixby Home screen by providing tailored Spotify content and recommendations.

Samsung and Spotify revealed a new partnership in August while Samsung was launching the Samsung Galaxy Note 9.

Back in 2017, Google Play Music was named as the "default music player" on the smartphone maker's then-new Galaxy S8 and S8+.

Fortunately, Windows 10 users have an even shorter route to getting their next Galaxy phone as Microsoft and Samsung have seemingly partnered to put the phone in the Microsoft Store and users can purchase right from their devices.

As the two companies extend their partnership to mobile, Samsung is also tightly integrating Spotify's service with its Bixby smart assistant.

"Our goal is to deliver the best possible mobile experience to our consumers, and Spotify is the ideal music partner to help us make that vision a reality", said Patricio Paucar, VP of Marketing, Samsung Electronics America.
