Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 with 'ultra-slim' case goes on sale today

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 with 'ultra-slim' case goes on sale today

Now, the company is prepping to release the Redmi 7.

Curiously, the device on the right is alleged to be the Redmi Note 7 (China) variant, but it sports a "Mi" branding instead of "Redmi by Xiaomi" branding as the Redmi Note 7 (China) does. However, they do get a better Redmi Note 7 Pro version that comes with a more powerful Snapdragon 675 and that unit comes with a 48MP + 5MP dual-camera setup.

Xiaomi much-awaited Redmi Note 7 series comprising of the Redmi Note 7 and the Note 7 Pro was launched last week and one of the two phones are finally going on sale.

As seen in the hands-on video, the Redmi 7 will sport a plastic shell design, which makes sense as the phone still needs to be within the budget territory.

In terms of storage, the Redmi Note 7 has 32GB and 64GB of onboard storage variants that both support microSD card (up to 256GB).

Xiaomi will soon launch the Redmi 7 under the "Redmi" brand, and as the name shows, it is going to be the successor to the Redmi 6 of previous year. The device on the right is most likely the Redmi Note 7, but we can not explain the branding discrepancy. Besides that, the device might come with a UD fingerprint scanner.

In addition to the picture, the full specs sheet of the Redmi 7 has also leaked by the TENAA listing.

Redmi Note 7 has a 6.3-inch FHD+ display with 1080×2340 pixels resolution and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The device is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor coupled with 3GB and 4GB RAM options. The Indian variant of Redmi Note 7 comes with a 12MP+2MP dual rear camera setup. For selfies, the Xiaomi Redmi 7 is expected to include an 8MP camera. It will run Android 9 Pie straight out of the box.

The smartphone will ship with a 3,900 mAh battery and will be offered in eight colors - black, red, blue, pink, white, green, purple, and gray.
