Red Dead Online Adds Gift and Gun

Red Dead Online Adds Gift and Gun

Red Dead Online's latest update is out - and it adds the brand new Evans Repeater Rifle and an all-new Fools Gold free-roam mode.

That changes today. You can go out and grab the Evans Repeater for yourself and start using it in any competition.

Veteran Red Dead Redemption players will remember the Evans Repeater being one of the signature weapons that protagonist John Marston utilized during the events of the first game in the Rockstar Games franchise. As for the game itself, Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, though still no PC release on the horizon. The Evans Repeater is a rifle designed for medium-to-long-range engagements, boasting a high rate of fire, and a high bullet capacity. When you opt-into a Free Roam Event you'll automatically join the event location before it begins. You can find it at the gunsmith or in the catalog of "Wheeler, Rawson & Co.". With this fan favorite rifle returning to the second entry in the popular Rockstar Games franchise, players are sure to have plenty of fun testing it out today and into the future during their adventures. Just click the invite when you see the alert in free roam. In Fool's Gold, you fight with other players to wear gold armor.

It also has customisation options like Stocks, Sights and Wraps - to make this an essential part of your character's weapon inventory. Also, if you kill an enemy player wearing the armor, that will also grant you bonus points.

There is more to come for Red Dead Online.

Cold Dead Hands: Fight for control over a target for the longest amount of time.

Right now, you have to compete for Bow, Headshot, Horseback, Longarm and Sidearm challenges only.

Some goodies are also coming to "Red Dead Online".

Master Archer: Compete to score the most points by hitting the most targets as accurately as you can within the time limit. The first, a care package, is a gift to all players from Rockstar Games.

We appreciate all the support you've shown thus far during the beta period, and this week all Red Dead Online Beta participants will receive a special care package (redeemed either at your camp's lockbox or at any post office across the five states) as a show of our appreciation.

Rockstar detailed all of this information for you in a blog post.

Red Dead Online players can also receive a Special Spinner fish lure that cannot be lost if the line is cut by completing five Daily Challenges from now until Monday, March 11.
