Lil Wayne did not announce that he is canceling his performance at the BET Experience, but he is standing by his protege in her feud against the network.

Adding, "Unfortunately the respect we have for Nicki was violated by this post that should never have been written".

Before the apology, Nicki shared a lot of messages from fans slamming BET for its joke, and even encouraged one follower to ask for a refund for the festival in June.

In another post, Nicki thanked her fans for their support, writing.

In a statement released on Tuesday BET said the tweet was unfortunate and that it was not a reflection of how the company feels about the rapper. Later on, she tweeted that she pissed off the same man that Ariana just called out for lying and that's why she does not have a Grammy.

A spokesperson for BET then issued the following statement: "BET loves Nicki Minaj". "We have supported her from the very beginning of her career and will continue to do so moving forward. And further does not reflect our company values". I love you so much.
