Amy Klobuchar Trolls Trump's Hair With 1 Simple Question

Amy Klobuchar Trolls Trump's Hair With 1 Simple Question

Amy Klobuchar, a third-term USA senator from Minnesota and a former prosecutor, announced her bid for president on Sunday with a vow to "heal the heart of our democracy and renew our commitment to the common good".

Klobuchar joins the race as the only Midwesterner, with a Midwest strategy: Win back Midwest states that voted for President Trump.

"Klobuchar is pointing to her record of working with Republicans, and says the country is exhausted of what she calls "the shutdowns and the putdowns, the gridlock and the grandstanding".

The announcement came days after national media outlets published stories casting Klobuchar as a boss who was overly tough on staff members who shared their stories anonymously.

"I'm exhausted of a government that works for a thin slice at the top and nobody else", said Warren, appearing at the University of Iowa. "That sense of community is fractured across our nation, worn down by the petty and vicious nature of our politics".

In a speech that was nearly a point-by-point rejection of the president's policies and the country's toxic divides, she told supporters, "We are exhausted of the shutdowns and the showdowns, of the gridlock and the grandstanding".

Many on the left also feel that her education reforms, which push for universities in the USA to be more affordable, do not go far enough.

The I-35W Mississippi River bridge collapsed in August 2007, killing 13 people.

The announcement followed Sen.

Ms. Warren also took aim at Mr. Trump on Saturday, saying he is "a product of a rigged system that props up the rich and powerful and kicks dirt on everyone else". "It made me chuckle, frankly, and roll my eyes", Navarro stated.

CNN commentator Ana Navarro rebuked President Donald Trump for his criticism of senator and 2020 presidential candidate Amy Klobuchar, branding the president a "poor baby" who was scared of getting his hair wet.

"Although some staffers grew inured to her constant put-downs ("It's always "the worst, '" one said sarcastically, "'It was 'the worst" one two weeks ago"), others found it grinding and demoralizing. Some pushed back and questioned whether those making the accusations "were falling for sexist stereotypes about female leaders with high standards".

Klobuchar is known for putting partisanship aside to pass legislation, something that has earned her a devoted following in Minnesota, and something American voters regularly tell pollsters they want. For every senior who wants affordable prescription drugs. "Looking forward to debating you about climate change (and many other issues)".

Her resumé. Klobuchar is a Minnesota native who graduated from Yale and the University of Chicago Law School.

Klobuchar is expected to focus her early presidential campaign on Iowa, which borders Minnesota and holds the nation's first nominating contest in February 2020.

Unruffled, Klobuchar continued as Kavanaugh asked again. Kavanaugh later apologized to Klobuchar, whose father is an alcoholic.

"When you have a parent who's an alcoholic, you're pretty careful about drinking", she said.

She is citing the need to "heal the heart of our democracy and renew our commitment to the common good". "I think it's cool that there are more women candidates running for president".

Klobuchar has been a member of the Senate Democratic leadership team since 2015, heading up the Democratic caucus's steering committee.

The primary field soon could expand to include prominent Democrats such as former Vice-President Joe Biden and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders.
