The Witcher 3’s Geralt Enters Monster Hunter

Starring legendary monster slayer Geralt of Rivia, once again voiced by Doug Cockle in the English version of the game, "Contract: Trouble in the Ancient Forest" tasks the witcher with tracking down and dealing with a powerful force known as the Leshen.

Geralt's questline will unlock components to make his armour set, and you'll also be able to earn other goodies including new gestures, titles, a pose, and the Cursed Staff for your Palico. The trailer shows off interactions as Geralt explores this odd new world, and also teases some of the gameplay players can anticipate in the single player crossover event.

Monster Hunter World is available for PS4 and Xbox One with the latest update 6.00. Just like Witcher fans are used to, players will also engage with people using dialogue options, which will influence how the story unfolds. That contract will be offered as a limited-time event until March 1st, and completing it will reward players with the resources needed to craft Ciri's armor and weapon set.

Another contract, Woodland Spirit, will go live on February 15 for those Hunter Rank 50 or above.

We've been wondering for a while now what form The Witcher 3 and Monster Hunter: World crossover would take.

The Monster Hunter: World x The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt collaboration is available on Xbox One and Playstation 4 now. Filming kicked off late past year with a budget of $60 million, and now it has progressed to the point where Sony Pictures is confident in setting a release date. To date, the series has sold over 33 million copies worldwide and garnered over 1000 awards.

It's unknown exactly what else the Witcher has brought to the game along with him. CD Projekt Red developed The Witcher trilogy, after acquiring rights to make video games based on the books by Andrej Sapkowski.
