Solskjaer salutes two-goal Pogba's prolific form

Pogba has been in outstanding form for United since Jose Mourinho departed in December, with the Frenchman playing a key role in his team's turnaround over the last couple of months.

Martial's scintillating run and finish was the pick of the goals on a blustery afternoon at Craven Cottage, where Pogba followed his impressive opener with a second-half penalty that sealed a comfortable 3-0 win that increases the pressure on struggling Fulham.

Anthony Martial and a Paul Pogba brace ensured United supporters wouldn't miss Rashford or Lindelof but there's hope they will feature in the upcoming clash against PSG. Martial played his France teammate in and Pogba rifled an effort past goalkeeper Sergio Rico, who would have been disappointed to be beaten at his near post. That is having a hand in 13 goals, one every 61 minutes!

It turns out him and Pogba are class - Mourinho should've used them. "I have to say I don't think I would have hit it like he did, so fantastic goal". In 2015-16 he had a hand in 23 goals for Juventus in Serie A and UCL, but this time he will most definitely surpass it.

The Norwegian has overseen 10 wins from his 11 games at the helm and he made six changes in west London with one eye on his first taste of managing the Red Devils in Europe.

Many fans believed the duo would be rested but Solskjaer has revealed there's a little more to it than just that.

"It's too far, the teams ahead".

"It's not just about putting smiles on faces, but that is a big part of it. Making sure you come into training looking forward to the next day and enjoy what you're doing".

Slavisa Jokanovic could not solve this mess of a defence Fulham have at disposal this season and now Claudio Ranieri realizes he will not be able to do any better. "Now we play against PSG, then we have Chelsea, Liverpool".

United's run of form has seen them be unbeaten in 11 games in all, with two wins coming in the FA Cup, only failing to beat Burnley but even that game didn't halt their momentum as they came from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 in a result that must have felt nearly like a win. Pogba again stepped up and duly converted to put United three nil up.

Solskjaer wanted to take a few risks this time.

"We started very well", he said. And still, Man United won comfortably, which is of huge importance. That is a big quality.
