Five Juveniles, Ages 12-16, Arrested In Murder Of Nashville Musician

Police say the 5 children were in a pickup truck in an alley behind Kyle's home when they saw him and allegedly chose to steal his auto.

When they accosted the singer, they took his wallet and demanded the keys to his auto, which he refused to hand over, they opened fire on him. Detectives believe he was shot in the head when he refused. Yorlets was rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died.

The police spokesperson called Yorlets an "absolute innocent victim".

"The entire Nashville community, every neighborhood in this city should be concerned about what happened Thursday and the events of Thursday night".

Five juveniles have been charged in the murder of a country music singer in Nashville.

On Friday, Magistrate Mike O'Neil found probable cause to foward the case for all 5 suspects.

Yorlets was a Belmont University graduate, originally from Pennsylvania, police said. He was a member of a local band, Carverton.

"Outside of this, please send prayer and good thoughts towards the Yorlets family, his girlfriend, his friends and extended work families".

Five kids are accused of killing a 24-year-old man outside his Tennessee home, in what police said Friday was an attempted robbery.

Metro police have arrested two boys, ages 13 and 16, and three girls, ages 12, 14 and 15 with criminal homicide in connection with Yorlets' death. Police have also charged a 12-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy.

The killers had stolen a pickup truck in Oak Grove, Kentucky, drove off and by chance ended up in an alley behind Yorlet's house, cops said.

Witnesses near the scene of the arrest told police they saw three juveniles get out of the pickup truck.

Police say they recovered a loaded 9 mm pistol, which had been reported stolen as well as a second loaded and stolen pistol. Police recovered a stolen loaded nine-millimeter pistol inside the Santa Fe.

Evidence, including two guns and another stolen vehicle were reportedly recovered there as well. Since the 2016 addition of drummer Christian Ferguson and bassist Michael Wiebell, Carverton have travelled the eastern half of the United States spreading the gospel of new-age Rock N Roll.
