Samsung's latest video envisions the future with foldable phones and 5G

According to the teaser, the upcoming handset, Huawei 5G Foldable Phone will see the light on February 24 at 14:00 CET. For P30, the company is further expected to improve its triple-camera setup and use its new 7nm Kirin 980 chipset to deliver outstanding performance.

Huawei today teased the unveiling of its first foldable 5G phone at MWC 2019. I'll be more interested in seeing a real foldable phone rather than something that's obviously a mockup (the screen doesn't move when touched, suggesting it's been put together in post-production rather than a girl looking at a real product), but whatever.

"Moreover, this device will be a bit larger than the Samsung prototype of 4.6" and 7.3" diagonals.

Furthermore, Xiaomi has reportedly begun to design and develop its own foldable smart-phone with an expectation of being the cheapest device ever in its category. Richard Yu, CEO of the company's Consumer Business Group, said this: "We look forward to seeing you in Barcelona in February, where we will launch the world's first 5G smartphones with foldable screen".

Foldable phones are poised to become the next big thing in the wireless world.

Instead reliable Samsung leaker Ice_Universe has revealed the device will field Samsung's first pop-up selfie camera, like the Vivo Nex S.

Huawei's foldable phone is likely also going to feature 5G connectivity. Phone manufacturers and ISPs are hyping 5G as the new way to get even faster speeds than the current 4G networks.
