Winter weather advisory from 10 p.m. EST Sunday until 8 a.m. EST Monday. They are calling for "mixed precipitation" with possible snow accumulations of one to two inches and ice accumulations of a light glaze.

Winter Storm Warnings and Advisories are in effect for snow, sleet and freezing rain for this weekend. Temperatures this morning are sticking in the mid to lower 30s and highs this afternoon won't really increase from there either.

Light winds will limit blowing and drifting snow, however, expect reduced visibility in some areas. This action does not apply to individuals or private businesses. Southwest Virginia could see up to 6 inches of snow and Baltimore and western Maryland could receive 3 to 7 inches of snow.

"Snow showers tapered off early Sunday morning with a widespread 2-4" piling up across South-Central PA. Snowfall totals will likely be affected for those areas.

Parts of the the Triangle are under a winter storm advisory Saturday.

Weather conditions will vary across the state and motorists are urged to keep a close eye on the elements and suspend unnecessary travel during and immediately following the storm to allow VDOT crews to effectively clear and treat roads. Keep in mind to give crews room and time to plow roads.
