Kingdom Hearts 3 Update Schedule Revealed For The Epilogue and Secret Video

Those videos are the same five digest videos now streaming on the game's official Japanese website. It also said players will be able to enjoy all of the main game, including the standard ending, without the need for an internet connection.

It's a smart move to be fair, even though it might seem odd that the game's epilogue won't actually be there on release. You must complete the game and view the normal ending first to watch the epilogue.

Tuesday, January 29: update 1.01 adds several data fixes and the Memory Archive that can be accessed and viewed from the game's title menu at any time.

The Memory Archive is a collection of Kingdom Hearts moments that aim to tell the story so far, both for new Kingdom Hearts players and those returning, who require a quick refresher. It's just that you'll struggle downloading each patch without it.

Wednesday, January 30: epilogue video. To view this video, players will have to beat the game and see the regular ending to unlock it.

Thursday, January 31: secret video. It can only be accessed by those who meet a "certain criteria", which varies depending on the difficulty level. This is a digest of the story in the series up to this point.

The company should have taken a leaf out of Sony's or Sega's book, wherein all the content necessary to the experiences is on disc or the initial download, with updates spent on adding to it rather than forcing players to go online when they shouldn't.
