Here We Come! Sources Claim Senator Kamala Harris Is Running For President

Her book "The Truths We Hold: An American Journey" hit the book stores on Wednesday.

When co-host Sunny Hostin asked the California senator if the time was right for a president who happened to be a woman of color, Harris expressed faith in the American people. She was the first woman attorney general of California and first African American to occupy that position.

In the book, Harris recounts an instance when she was an intern at the Alameda County district attorney's office and an innocent bystander was one of many people arrested during a drug raid.

Many political experts believe other Democrats who may jump into the race include former Vice President Joe Biden, former Texas Rep. Beto O'Rourke and Vermont Sen. If Trump declares a national emergency, she added, "the courts will kick in" to "determine the legitimacy of his exercise of that authority, and I think what we all know is it would be an improper exercise of authority".

Beyond the book, Harris supported legislation that passed the Senate late a year ago and overhauls the criminal justice system, especially when it comes to sentencing rules. She'd also be a stronger presidential candidate if she focused on that campaign.

Berkeley, where Harris was raised before her parents divorced and she moved with her mother and sister to Montreal, Canada, has also been dismissed by her strategists as not projecting the image they're looking for.

Harris told Scarborough the country needs leadership and immediately began listing her credentials.

To the delight of the audience, a smiling Harris responded, "I might". She also spent heavily to build out her digital campaign infrastructure and cultivate supporters online. Elizabeth Warren, who recently formed an exploratory committee but has not officially announced a presidential run, are considered among the top contenders for the Democratic nomination.

Harris, who just launched a book tour, recently told NPR she had "not made up [her] mind" about making a presidential bid. "Being able to go toe-to-toe with him on law and order in a smarter way, I think, is going to be important".

I wonder if she'll invite the Knights of Columbus.

"What are we thinking about in terms of recognizing that some people will applaud China for its efficiency and effectiveness and maybe even point to it as the new model of economic power".
