Game of Thrones releases new trailer, New Zealand launch date revealed

To celebrate, Sky released a new 90-second trailer showing Jon Snow, Sansa and Arya Stark walking into a dimly lit crypt to find concrete memorial statues of themselves.

HBO released another series eight teaser, entitled Crypts of Winterfell, alongside the official release date for Game Of Thrones on Sunday night and the fandom was shook.

Game of Thrones returns - we can finally say it - April 14, 2019 with the first of six episodes of the final season. "The reaction I had while watching them was, 'I'm watching a movie, '" Plepler told Variety at a Golden Globes party. I've watched them twice without any CGI and I'm in awe.

It's been over two years since the last season - Season 7 - of the critically-acclaimed television adaptation of George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire aired from July to August 2017.

Jon and Arya haven't seen each other since series 1, when they had quite a strong brother-sister relationship, so the reunion will no doubt delight fans no end.

Game of Thrones' ensemble cast also includes Lena Heady as Queen Cersei Lannister, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Jaime Lannister, Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister, Isaac Hempstead Wright as Bran Stark and Gwendoline Christie as Brienne of Tarth. In particular, these new Game of Thrones sneakers will be within the silhouette of one of Adidas' most popular models: the Ultra Boost.
