Nokia's Upcoming Mid-Range Phone Will Feature a Punch-Hole Notch

The HMD Global is unstoppable in terms of providing the major Android updates to their Nokia smartphones.

The dimensions of the 8.1 Plus are 156.9 x 76.2 x 7.9mm which are very similar to the Nokia 8.1, i.e., the non-Plus model.

Yesterday renders of a Nokia phone said to be the Nokia 8.1 Plus were posted online but there are sources saying it may be a different Nokia device entirely, the Nokia 6.2 to be exact.

On the front, the phone has an edge-to-edge display with minimal bezels on the top and the sides. Also, it would be nice if you could describe quickly how does the phone behaves after the update. The device is backed by 3,060mAh battery and runs Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box.

Adaptive brightness, as the name implies, automatically adjusts screen brightness whereas adaptive battery optimises the battery life of the phone by prioritising battery for the frequently used applications. The 12MP f/1.8 main camera with OIS, EIS, and also ZEISS optics really speaks volume by itself in terms of specs. Two days of normal use should be easily achieved and when you want to recharge an 18W fast charger is included.

Buyers will be able to choose from three color options including Gloss White, Gloss Black, and Gloss Midnight Blue.

The punch hole camera design is gaining traction with manufactures like Samsung, Huawei, and Honor launching smartphones with this design. Adaptive Sensor features combine four pixels to enhance low-light photos so you get incredible night photos. On the front, the handset offers a 5MP camera with f/2.0 aperture including the ability to capture FHD videos at 30fps.

Google Lens allows you to capture the world around you and get information on products, landmarks and points of interest.
