Freddie Kitchens is now officially the Cleveland Browns head coach

Kitchens is being well recieved as head coach already, especially by Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield. "He did an outstanding job in his role as coordinator, and we know that will continue as he steps into the role of head coach".

The original comment Kitchens made was in reference to the opening press conference for Gregg Williams, who was named the interim coach for the final eight games of the season. In his introductory video, he tells fans that that has changed and he's the new head coach of the Cleveland Browns. I've been to one Super Bowl that didn't end the way I wanted it to and that disappointing memory is what really drives me. "Freddie is a good man and I can't wait to see what the new Cleveland Browns have in store".

Despite Browns owner Jimmy Haslam firing much of his previous staffs and reorganizing his front office in various ways over the years, chief strategy officer Paul DePodesta, a longtime baseball executive who spends most of his time in California, and Andrew Berry, vice president of player personnel who was brought in by DePodesta, both played a pivotal role in this decision. "He raised the bar for our offense past year, and I have no doubt he is going to raise the bar for our entire team".

In addition to his dual stints as Giants' defensive coordinator, Spagnuolo also served as a defensive assistant (1999-2000), secondary coach (2001-2003) and linebackers coach (2004-2006) for the Philadelphia Eagles, a senior defensive assistant (2013) and secondary coach (2014) for the Baltimore Ravens, head coach of the then-St.

After Kitchens took over, Cleveland's offense led the NFL in yards per play (6.86), tied for the league lead in yards per pass attempt (8.72), were fourth in yards per game (395.1), fourth in passing yards per game (285.9) and the 23.75 points per game ranked 14th.

Kitchens has held coaching positions with the Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals in addition to the Browns.

"It was great working with and learning from Freddie a year ago". He has such a creative mind. "He creates mismatches and just put guys in position to take advantage of their opportunities". He's the same guy every day.

Wide receiver Jarvis Landry said, "I'm excited about the opportunity that he has". "I think this is the direction".
