Chiefs end home playoff curse, advance to AFC title game

And after a weekend of pretty close wild card games, this round should prove to be interesting.

At SugarHouse Sportsbook, bettors have the opportunity to wager on specific teams to win the Super Bowl vs. the field.

Against the Colts, the Chiefs had to survive some anxious moments having more to do with their playoff history - they wasted a 28-point, third-quarter lead against the Colts five years ago and an 18-point, third-quarter lead against the Titans last season - than the way they were playing. The Chiefs linebacker immediately stuffed Marlon Mack on a running play that did more than just give Indianapolis a loss. The Colts are a little more balanced and have a better defensive line. Despite producing back-to-back division titles for the first time in almost four decades, both coach and quarterback knew the results that matter most are those produced in the playoffs. And with offensive weapons like Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill, T.Y. Hilton, and Eric Ebron, these offenses will be unstoppable. Unless their secondary can turn things around fast, we could be looking at a shootout of a game where Luck is likely to come out on top. However, I am not one of those people who believes this will happen for a couple of reasons.

Los Angeles Rams coach Sean McVay felt the pressure. After winning the NFC East and beating Seattle last week, Dallas lost in the divisional playoff round for the sixth consecutive time. The Saints still have to play the Eagles, much less defeat them.

And, here is where I think the Chiefs will miss running back Kareem Hunt, who was let go by the team after a video surfaced in November of him kicking a woman in a Cleveland hotel in February. Dak Prescott has been serviceable, but has yet to put up a big game against a quality team. They have what it takes to win in the playoffs.

The victor will move on to play the victor of Sunday's (5) Chargers vs. (2) Patriots game. Furthermore, the Patriots have been suspect on the defensive side of the ball at times this year and in the playoffs that is a key to success. This is as good of a chance as ever for Rivers to make it to his first big game considering the team he has around him and something tells me the victor of this game will be heading to the Super Bowl considering the teams they have a chance to face.

This pegs to be a matchup of a strong home team (Patriots were 8-0 at home) against a strong road team (Chargers are 7-1).

Woods totalled at least 60 yards receiving in 14-straight games from Weeks 2-16 and reached the mark once again in the Divisional round. The two teams met earlier on in the season where the Saints destroyed the Eagles 48-7, but Carson Wentz was the quarterback then. The Super Bowl matchup with the longest odds, at 40/1, features the Chargers and Dallas Cowboys.

The NFL is considering moving the AFC Championship Game to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum should the Chargers and Colts advance, CBS Sports reports. If that is in fact the case, I see the Colts winning and heading to Atlanta.

Sunday might be even more interesting as the Eagles head to New Orleans to take on Brees.

"How in the world do you bet against Drew Brees?".
