Birthday messages for Duchess of Cambridge as Kate turns 37

It will no doubt be a special occasion for Kate, who will be celebrating for the first time as a mum-of-three.

William will reportedly join his wife and family during the evening to mark Middleton's big day. "The Duchess undertakes royal duties in support of The Queen, both in the United Kingdom and overseas - and devotes her time to supporting charitable causes and organisations, several of which are centered around providing children with the best possible start in life".

Charlotte goes to Willcocks Nursery School, while George goes to Thomas's London Day School in Battersea.

Prince William has given his wife a number of extravagant gifts over the years - and not just on her birthday.

And on Wednesday the palace confirmed William had become a Patron of their charity campaign, writing: "The Duke of Cambridge has today become Patron of London's Air Ambulance Charity #30yearssavinglives campaign - which aims to highlight the charity's vital work in delivering life-saving treatment across London, and raise support for the development of new facilities".

William also served almost five years as a helicopter pilot with the RAF's Search and Rescue Force. She attended a series of engagements including the royals' Christmas celebration in Sandringham.

The charity is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, and William visited their staff, patients and their families at a tea party marking the anniversary.

This will more than likely include parents Carole and Michael, and siblings James and Pippa.

Kensington Palace took to their Twitter account to share a touching tribute of the royal, tweeting: "Thank you everyone for all your lovely messages on The Duchess of Cambridge's birthday", along with a balloon emoji.

37-year-old Kate still has plenty of time to have another baby before the ravages of menopause seal her fate.
