The Oscars To Trudge Forth Without A Host

The Oscars To Trudge Forth Without A Host

The 39-year-old Hart repeatedly reiterated to Strahan on Wednesday that he is "over" talking about his old tweets and said there would be "no more conversation about it". "I'm over that, I'm over the moment", he said.

He said: "I'm done with it, it gets no more energy from me and that's why I said it's the last time I'm addressing this".

Quoting the start of one of the controversial jokes from his 2010 stand-up routine during the show, Kevin paraphrased: "I want to say that I have no problem with gay people".

"I say I'm done with it".

The Academy Awards will reportedly air this year without a host - and it will be the first time the awards ceremony will air without a host in almost three decades, according to Variety.

The second part of Michael Strahan's interview on GMA focused on Kevin Hart's new move, The Upside. I'm not saying what I've done and what the new me is.

Kevin Hart seems to have fully closed the door on any possibility that he will host the Oscars.

"The chances are very slim", Hart replies when asked if he would host the awards show in the future. "This is because I do not want to be a distraction on a night that should be celebrated by so many amazingly talented artists. But I don't believe in going backward".

DeGeneres revealed that she had called The Academy and asked them to bring Hart back as host.

He told the chat show host that he would reconsider his decision to back out from the Oscars, and apologised to the LGBT+ community earlier this week. I want you to be happy, be gay, be happy.

"I think it's my best work to date", Hart said about playing an ex-con, who cares for a quadriplegic.

"I've said everything I can possibly say and I'm over it".

"If you didn't [hear the apology], I don't know what you're looking for", Hart said.

Still, an Oscars with no host in 2019 is a novel-enough idea. I shouldn't have to prove who I am.

An Oscars broadcast with no specific host has only happened once before in the ceremony's history.

In December, the Academy announced that they'd tapped Hart to host the upcoming awards ceremony. "There is no end to it", Hart replied.
