West Ham source dismisses link to worldwide midfielder

It is close to double what they paid for him.

Pellegrini underlined his determination to keep Arnautovic before West Ham's meeting with Arsenal on Saturday, with the club later issuing a statement which read: "Marko has a contract and we fully expect him to honour it".

West Ham have insisted Marko Arnautovic is not for sale after his agent claimed the Austrian forward wants to move to China.

Manuel Pellegrini on Thursday dismissed suggestions the 29-year-old could leave the club this month but having admitted in November the forward would like to test himself in the Champions League, Arnautovic's brother Danijel, who also acts as his agent, released a statement which asks for them to allow him to move to the Chinese Super League.

A West Ham United source has rubbished rumours that the club are interested in signing Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez, according to the Claret and Hugh website. He wants to go to a new market and challenge for titles.

"Those are all rumours", said Pellegrini.

A tough trip to the Emirates Stadium lies in wait for West Ham this weekend, a ground at which Nasri spent three years earlier in his career, and the two-time Premier League victor is determined to show his quality in what will be a "crazy" atmosphere.

His agent says the Austria worldwide will continue to give his all to West Ham while he remains contracted to the club, but that he hopes a deal can be reached for a move to China.

In a plea for supporters to accept Arnautovic's decision, he added: 'He knows the West Ham fans love him and he has a special connection with them, but things move on, this is the world of sport and he hopes they can understand. Hoping like the other times Arnie will set the record straight by confirming he hasn't been pushing to leave West Ham.just yet anyway.

"They want to continue playing the way they have been so far and I am sure he will have his head in the game against Arsenal".

'To try to grow as a club we need to keep our good players. Marko in this moment is a player of our team. But you never know what can happen in the future.

He said: "I think it was very useful for him to play 60 minutes in the FA Cup".
