Michy Batshuayi set to end Valencia loan spell

Michy Batshuayi's loan from Chelsea to Valencia is to be terminated early, the LaLiga club's sporting director Mateu Alemany has confirmed.

Michy Batshuayi has struggled to find the back of the net during his loan spell with Valencia this season, having only scored three goals in 23 appearances across all compeitions.

Everton are reportedly planning a winter approach for Michy Batshuayi, who is scheduled to return from an unsuccessful loan move with Valencia.

Alemany's assessment heavily implies that Batshuayi will be moving to a different club on loan rather than returning to Chelsea. "We are negotiating the player's exit with various other clubs", Alemany noted.

"We are expecting an exit in the few hours or days".

The centre-forward scored the goal that clinched Chelsea the 2016/17 Premier League and deserves a lifeline.

The Belgian global had a fairly unsuccessful spell with the La Liga side, scoring just three goals from 23 appearances in all competitions.

'The player knows and we hope to reach a solution soon for the good of all parties.

According to the Mirror, Everton, Crystal Palace, Fulham and Marseille have all expressed an interest in signing the Blues striker, with £14million the quoted price to sign him on a permanent basis.

Current strikers Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Cenk Tosun and Oumar Niasse have proved to be far from prolific options this season, with Richarlison moved into a central role instead.

Do you think Batshuayi should be used at Chelsea in the second half of the season?
