Laerskool Marble Hall accused of refusing black pupils admission

The photo is believed to be from Laerskool Schweizer-Reneke in the North West.

MEC of education and sports development Sello Lehari suspended the Grade R teacher who allegedly separated the pupils.

"Rather what becomes painful is that there are black people who still insist that racism has ended and who think that blacks and whites can have peaceful relations that do not have undertones of racism".

You can take your kids to the whitest schools in the country but so long as the black majority is poor, your kids will always be reminded that they are black and therefore inferior. Other explanations, particularly on Facebook, suggest that the children in the first photo arranged themselves in this way and that they were rearranged by the teacher, even before any outrage broke out on social media.

She continued that she contacted another parent to talk about the situation, and that parent subsequently got in touch with the school principal for clarifications on why their kids were separated. The teacher has since been suspended while the investigation continues.

We've been told that this never happens at the school under normal circumstances.
"If they are not happy‚ let them take their children there".

She is not being named to protect the identity of her child.

She claimed the white children did not have the same experience.

"All I saw was messages from the white parents saying "dankie, dankie" ('thank you, thank you') but no one was saying anything about the separation of the learners", she added.

"We hear complaints that black children are often threatened by white pupils not to touch them or else they tell their fathers who have guns to deal with them".

An education official said: 'We are not sure whether is fake or real, if it's real we are condemning it, we say not during this era, we can not really accept it'.

"If you are not happy here, take your child to another school, nobody is forcing you. Around 9 o'clock the class teacher posted the picture saying they are settling well at school". "Not a division based on race - but a division legitimately based on the language preference of the class." the school wrote in a statement.

He also said that the school would help the staff with additional training.

In the other pictures, children of different races can be seen interacting.
