Google Maps Assistant integration would be one of the most important Google Assistant updates that the giant Internet company announced during CES 2019. The Google Assistant also had a number of announcements, including Google Assistant Connect, which is a new platform aimed at getting the Assistant into more products.

The device - specifically engineered for automobiles - plugs into a 12V accessory port (cigarette lighter), allowing users to call upon Google Assistant without interacting with their phone. With this feature, users are able to receive translations for dozens of languages and conduct conversations in real time.

Google's virtual assistant will tie-up with Google Maps for better navigation. All you need to do to check-in is say "Hey Google, check in to my flight", and Assistant will take care of the rest.

Choice Hotels, AccorHotels, InterContinental Hotels, Priceline, Expedia, Mirai and Travelclick offer hotel booking through Google Assistant on Android and iOS devices. Currently, this feature is currently live in the USA on both Android and iOS.

Google pulled out all stops make a huge splash at CES 2019.

Functions include asking Google Assistant to locate the nearest fuel station, query weather conditions, plus much more. In order to enable the so-called " Pixel lockscreen Assistant" feature, you'll have to opt-in through the phone's settings.

"Our customers love the convenience of voice control, so we're expanding functionality to make it even more powerful", said Niraj Desai, DISH vice president of product management. Google Assistant will be able to show traffic reports and schedule reminders without unlocking the phone. Google also promises to bring support for Google Keep,, Bring! and Todoist.

A live demonstration showed just how the system works; simply say the command to initiate - for example, "Hey Google, be my French interpreter" - and Google Assistant will jump into Interpreter Mode.

Real-time machine-assisted translated conversations are becoming increasingly popular, though options are still limited. The feature has recently been integrated at hotel concierge desks across the US. And if the last couple of days have told us anything, it is that the Google Assistant is at the helm of its CES strategy.
