Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey agrees five-year deal with Juventus worth £36m

Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey agrees five-year deal with Juventus worth £36m

The 28-year-old is set to join Juventus in the summer after he was told at the back end of last year that he was free to leave the Emirates after failing to renew his contract.

The Welsh worldwide will bring an end to 10 years at Arsenal at the end of the season after talks over a new deal broke down with the Premier League giants in September. He will be fondly remembered by Arsenal fans, most of whom wish he wasn't going. Ramsey will be paid around £140,000 a week (£7.2m a season), making him the Italian club's second highest earner behind Cristiano Ronaldo but ahead of other starts such as Paulo Dybala and Douglas Costa.

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey will reportedly undergo his Juventus medical on Sunday.

There has also been interest expressed from English sides and according to David Ornstein, if Ramsey was to remain in the Premier League "he would favour a move to Liverpool".

"In the last match I was very happy with him".

The BBC reporter adds: "However, although there is still a possibility the situation might change, it is nearly certain the former Cardiff player will go overseas".

Arsenal fans just hope he doesn't end up joining a Premier League rival, because according to BBC Sport's David Ornstein, the Wales worldwide has a preference if he were to stay in England.

"His future is individually for him, for his family, his agent".

And Emery insisted today that he will still count on Ramsey for the rest of the season even if he does finalise a deal with Juventus.

"I want his behaviour and his focus to be on West Ham on Saturday".

The report says Ramsey's "boyhood dream" was to play for Barcelona but after preliminary talks he will not be moving to the Nou Camp.
