Prince William back in the pilot seat as Kate celebrates her birthday

Here at ET, we're honoring the mother of three by breaking down her best style looks from the past year.

Kate received other birthday wishes from around the globe, with royal households, British embassies and charities which she supports as patron posting their congratulations. And keep in mind, Middleton has enjoyed more than a few wild birthday nights out. According to the royal expert, the duchess looked different.

During his visit William was given presents for his children, with a small teddy bear each for Charlotte and Louis and a soft toy in the shape of an air ambulance helicopter for George. Yes, Kate's into theme parties!

Meanwhile, Kate's first royal engagement of the year hasn't yet been revealed.

2008: For her 26th, she and little sister Pippa headed to da club (in pantyhose and a pea coat).

This was confirmed on Kensington Palace's Twitter account: "The Duke of Cambridge will visit @LDNairamb on Wednesday 9th January to recognise the work that their first responders carry out delivering life-saving treatment across London". They celebrated with the Middleton family at their home (and William even spent the night!). Kate marked the event privately on Wednesday with her family.

At a tea party, William was presented with a homemade birthday card for wife Kate by three youngsters and one guest couldn't resist asking what her plans were for the day.

The royal couple headed to church services with the Queen that morning. In addition to gifting her handsome pieces of jewellery over the years, in 2009 he surprised her with a romantic candle-lit dinner at a remote log cabin on the Queen's Balmoral estate in Scotland.

Another romantic gift bestowed on the duchess by her husband was an eternity band after she gave birth to Prince George in July 2013.
