Chrissy Metz denies making Brie slur

Chrissy Metz denies making Brie slur

"I know you. It's just a rumour", she allegedly replied.

Metz adamantly denied making the comment.

Brie, who arrived with husband Dave Franco, appeared not to have heard what Metz said.

"Do I?" Metz began in an exaggerated tone before the visual cut to Brie, though they continued to play the audio of Metz who began to say, "She's such a b".

From announcing the wrong victor (looking at you Warren Beatty) at the Oscars to making insensitive jokes at the Golden Globes (ahem, Ricky Gervais), there are always moments at every award show that make us cringe.

The This is Us actress was accused of calling Alison Brie out of her name during a red carpet interview on Facebook's pre-show after she was heard saying what viewers thought was "she's such a b*tch!" She wrote that she adores Brie and would never say a bad word about her. "If she did happen to use the "other" word", he added, "I promise it was 1,000 percent a joke".

Metz said she hadn't seen Brie in the ballroom tonight and doesn't have her number.

"I don't speak about anyone like that I don't speak like that. She then referred to Alison as a "babe" and the fun exchange ended. It's more important than ever that we ALL support and love on one another and from my position on that stage, a few feet from Chrissy, it was clear to me that she had nothing but love for Alison". "I mean, I know the truth", Metz went on. "I saw her on the carpet and I told her how attractive she looked". "I love Alison, I follow her", Metz shared.

Brie told Vanity Fair reporter Nicole Sperling that she and Metz spoke Sunday on the red carpet and was unaware of the incident. "Rumors can't keep us down". And, if you listen to the footage, it does sound like that's just what Metz said.
