Arsenal could move in for ‘most feared’ EPL star player

Carrasco started his professional career at Ligue 1 side AS Monaco and was part of their team that won Ligue 2 in 2012-13 to achieve promotion to the top flight.

The Arsenal boss is a big fan of Carrasco, while he has made no secret of his desire to sign a player to bolster his options out wide, confirming he wanted to recruit 'a winger, right or left, one player can help us in this position'.

The 25-year-old has spent one season in the Chinese Super League after joining from Atletico Madrid in February 2018.

On January 04, Foot Mercato reported that the Red Devils are interested in signing the winger, who now plays for Chinese Super League club, Dalian Yifang.

Arsenal and Manchester United have both been linked with moves for Carrasco this month.

However, Sky Italia, via the Metro, claim that Carrasco favours a move to Arsenal while The Sun also carry a similar report that suggests the Gunners have already made contact over a deal and the winger has given his "approval" to the proposed move.

The 25-year-old has scored 7 goals in his 25 appearances over the past year but he's already agitating for a move back to Europe and the Belgian worldwide has seemingly attracted interest from the Premier League.

Carrasco is also earning around £8.8m a year in China, a salary Arsenal can not match, though he appears open to accepting a pay cut in order to return to Europe.

Arsenal have favoured wing-backs under Emery but in attacking areas there has been an over-reliance on the likes of Alex Iwobi and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Having played just 26 games for Dalian Yifang in under a year, Yannick Carrasco scored seven and assisted nine.
