How Much Is The Cheapest Ticket To Disneyland?

Disneyland Resort has once again hiked its admission prices up ahead of the opening of their much anticipated $1 billion Star Wars-themed expansion, in both their Anaheim and Orlando parks.

Disneyland spokeswoman Liz Jaeger said in a statement, "We continue to provide our guests with a variety of ticket offerings to meet their needs, while helping us to spread visitation, better manage demand and deliver a great experience".

More visitors are expected for this summer's opening of "Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge".

"Fans absolutely will pay Disneyland's higher prices to experience the new Star Wars lands", says Niles.

What's going on: On Sunday, Disneyland raised its prices for annual passes, tickets and parking passes up to 25 percent, The Los Angeles Times reported.

Disneyland's most expensive pass, the "Premier Pass" - which includes parking and access to both parks year round - has now jumped from $1,579 to $1,949, an increase of 23.4%. In 2016, Disneyland launched a demand-based pricing scheme that offers lower prices on days that are less in demand and higher prices for popular days like weekends and holidays. They were previously $135. The cost of a MaxPass, which includes ride reservations and photos, rose 50 percent to $15.

Annual passes are also increasing. "Disney has invested heavily in promoting itself as a lifestyle brand, and its dedicated fans won't abandon it over these price increases".

Disney representatives said more days would be blocked out for most annual passes compared to previous year but didn't provide more specifics. In fact, 211 days are blocked for the next 12 months.
