New Marvel Game in Development by Ex-Hearthstone Devs

The new studio founded by former Hearthstone folks including game director Ben Brode are working on a mysterious game with Marvel game.

We have a new Marvel game to geek out over while we wait to hear anything about The Avengers Project.

As revealed via a new video and blog post on Second Dinner's website, Brode and the rest of the team announced that they're now creating a project associated with Marvel.

Details are now scarce, but Chu brazenly insists that "In all likelihood, this will be the best [Marvel] game ever made". No further details are available on the mystery Marvel project, although that's a given considering it's barely got off the ground at this point. Both left developer Blizzard Entertainment about eight months ago.

It's unclear what the unannounced game could be, although judging by their pedigree on Hearthstone it could be a mobile or PC-orientated title.

Second Dinner raised $30 million via a minority investment from a company called NetEase and is now looking to expand its team to build the aforementioned game. You can check out their announcement video below, then share any theories you have about the game in the comment section! "They and the team they've assembled at Second Dinner have made some of the greatest games in history".

Announced via a YouTube video, the team don't give too much away other than that they've received a large amount of funding and are working with Marvel for the upcoming game, which already has a working prototype. It's going to be fantastic!

The current job listings include full-time positions for a client engineer and technical artist. Or Mighty! Or quite possibly all of the above!'

More than anything, the team at Second Dinner seems to be loose and looks like they're having fun.
