Rumoured Pixel 3 ‘Lite’ surfaces in Russian Federation

The Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL were easily the most leaked and worst kept secret of the modern tech world. The Pixel 3, for instance, has a 5.5-inch AMOLED panel, so I believe the overall footprint of the phone isn't going to be all that different.

The expected price of Pixel 3 XL is $ 400-500 and it is expected to be official by the first quarter of 2019.

Now, Rozetked has shared a bunch of images that show off the Pixel 3 Lite design from all angles. That doesn't bode well for the future of this unannounced Pixel in the US.

We're now privy to a so-called Google Pixel 3 Lite thanks to a series of photos shared this week by a leakster in Russian Federation. For one, the logo on the phone's back resembles a "C" more than a G. Next, Google's head of hardware Rick Osterloh had quashed the possibility of a cheaper Pixel in March, 2017, when he said that the line of smartphones from Google would stay premium. However, it wasn't sure whether those devices were appearing until today because a new report with the new alleged Pixel device has surfaced online.

The device's Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 has yet to make it to North American and has only been featured in devices released in Asia. Still, it is good to see that we don't have an ugly notch like the one on Pixel 3 XL. The Google Pixel 3 Lite has a 5.56-inch IPS Full-HD+ display with a resolution of 2220 x 1080 pixels. The baseline 64GB of storage has been downgraded to 32GB. Just like the Pixel 3, the Pixel 3 Lite does not feature a microSD card slot for additional storage expansion. All this suggests the Pixel 3 Lite is a budget model rather than a smaller one. It would be pretty significant if a "budget" Pixel 3 that costs less comes with the same camera quality as the flagship Pixel 3.

Camera wise, there's a 12MP rear camera - which it's possible is the same module on both Pixel phones meaning it could be an outstanding shooter like it's higher priced brothers, but only a single 8MP front-facing camera so no wide-angle group selfies here.
