'GOD HEALED ROXLI': 11-year-old girl's rare, inoperable brain tumour disappears

Dr Harrold explained that Roxli's DIPG was confirmed by four different medical providers, including Johns Hopkins Medical Center, meaning the chances of her being mis-diagnosed were nearly impossible.

Despite there being no cure for the disease, Roxli's family made a decision to proceed with an 11-week course of radiation.

A Texas girl's inoperable brain tumor has disappeared, and her parents are giving all the credit to God.

According to a report by KVUE-TV, Roxli Doss was diagnosed last summer with diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma, or DIPG.

According to Boston's Children Hospital, almost 300 children a year are diagnosed with DIPG.

"You have decreased ability to swallow, sometimes vision loss, decreased ability to talk, eventually difficulty with breathing", she said.

It isn't yet clear what causes DIPG and most other brain tumors. The prognosis for DIPGs "remains very poor", the center notes.

"It is very rare, but when we see it, it is a devastating disease", said Dr. Virginia Harrod with Dell Children's Medical Center in Austin, Texas.

Roxli Doss miracle
Scott and Gena Doss asked for prayers when doctors said Roxli's tumor was

The doctor told the child's parents Gena Doss and Scott Doss that there is no cure for their child's tumor.

Doss went on to go through weeks of radiation even though doctors explained that there was no cure for her disease.

Their prayers were apparently answered.

When I first saw Roxli's MRI scan, it was actually unbelievable.

The tumor was reportedly undetectable on an MRI scan after the radiation treatment.

Doctors said they don't know how the tumor disappeared.

"And we got it", Gena told the news outlet. Young Roxli's MRIs are clear of any trace of the tumor, and doctors can do little but scratch their heads.

The couple said that doctors double checked Roxli's scans to confirm the result.
