Kate Middleton Wears Princess Diana’s Tiara Yet Again in Stunning Reception Look

The mother of three had her hair swept back in an elegant up 'do for the occasion and paired the tiara with drop pearl earrings and a bespoke silver embellished Jenny Packham gown. The famous tiara of the Princess of Wales, too, liked to wear, as Elizabeth II, and now the wife of Prince William is preparing for the future status of the Queen.

Kate, who wore a sequined gown, chose the Lover's Knot tiara for the white-tie event, which is sometimes referred to as the Cambridge Lover's Knot.

And Her Majesty was equally radiant dripping in jewels as she greeted ambassadors and dignitaries around the world.

But the process for getting a toddler to the toilet is a bit more complicated when you're royal. "She was wearing a tiara, what is proving to be her favorite tiara actually - the Lover's Knot tiara".

The Duchess of Cambridge has been one busy royal these past few days, first hosting a Christmas party for families of serving military personnel followed by a trip to Cyprus to bring gifts to servicemen and women.

"It was really important for them to do that because they wanted to recognize the sacrifice that a lot of families make when a loved one is overseas during the festive period", Murphy said.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge walked through a blizzard of fake snow as they arrived at the Kensington Palace event.

Princess Charlotte participated in her own Christmas tradition last week, when she joined Kate to attend a special performance of The Nutcracker at the Royal Opera House.

"I can't imagine how it feels when your loved ones are away on active service over Christmas or at those special family moments". For the first time Kate Middleton attended the event with her husband Prince William in 2013.
