India announce final 12 for the first Test against Australia

India captain Virat Kohli on Wednesday stressed that both the teams will indulge in intense competition in the four-match Test series against Australia starting from Thursday on December 6, 2018, but maintained the players will not cross any lines this time around. In the past, these failures might've been overlooked, with Steve Smith and David Warner on hand to paper over the cracks.

"The Indian batsmen weren't anywhere near as good as they are now, of course, and they played a few false shots and I was lucky enough to take five", Renneberg said.

However, Langer said Kohli and Co. are a good team and the hosts will show respect to the visitors.

Former Australia captain Michael Clarke, along with a number of ex-players, has criticised the new ethos, calling on the team to "stop worrying about being liked". Especially in this kind of situation where two of their best batsman have scored literally 50 percent of their runs for Australia are not a part of the playing eleven and they haven't really done well since they have left Test cricket.

Despite the series being touted to be India's best chance to clinch a rare series win in Australia, in the absence of David Warner and Steve Smith, Kohli maintained that the men in blue can not take the opposition lightly.

"Going forward, we've got full faith in him being a Test allrounder".

What time does the first Test between India and Australia begin? Do you think they can genuinely come out as a team and contest in the series?

In the bowling department, India have opted for three specialist pacers Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah while Ravichandran Ashwin will be at the helm of the spin attack.

"You're representing Australia, you just bloody did it", Renneberg said. "But I don't see anything radical happening because the skill-set is high and we necessarily wouldn't need to get into anything but at times when situations are hard you do find ways to upset the rhythm".

"There were some very tight Test matches and we lost some big moments badly which cost us the series", said Shastri.

"I think [Jasprit] Bumrah, Umesh and [Mohammed] Shami should play in the first Test".

How do I watch online live streaming of the India-Australia T20I series?

"Where we were with Australian cricket at rock bottom eight months ago with what happened in South Africa, the word "elite". we have to raise the standard".

India's middle order also looks in good form with Cheteshwar Pujara, Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane and Hanuma Vihari all making half-centuries in the CA XI game.
