'MISSION COMPLETE': Photo of George H.W. Bush’s Service Dog Goes Viral

George H.W. Bush died Friday at the age of 94.

The Bush family's post-White House spokesman Jim McGrath shared the photo on Twitter Sunday with the hashtag #remembering41.

An arrival ceremony involving both the House and Senate will be held at 4:45 p.m. ET on Monday at the US Capitol, where Bush will lie in state in the rotunda until Wednesday morning.

Social media users thanked Sully for his services and commented on his and dogs' loyalty generally towards their owners.

Jeb Bush, sone of the 41st president and the former governor of Florida, retweeted the photo, with the simple words: "Sully has the watch".

Not all U.S. presidents have been fond of dogs though: John F Kennedy was allergic to dogs, and Donald Trump does not have one. The president had a form of Parkinson's disease, and Sully could open doors, pick up items and summon help.

After a second funeral in Texas on Thursday, he will be interred at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum.
