In her page dedicated to Pete Davidson, whom she split from in October, Ariana actually apologised to him for ending their relationship.

Lindsay's part of Cady Heron was played by Ariana's Victorious co-star Elizabeth Gillies in the music video.

Not only did it break multiple streaming records upon its release, its new music video has now beaten YouTube's record for the most viewed video in the first 24 hours.

On 2 December a video emerged on Instagram of the Thank U, Next singer showing off her latest Mac Miller tribute, Us Weekly reports.

Other clever pop culture references included a nod to the Burn Book from Mean Girls, the cheer routine from Bring It On and the "Bend and Snap" scene from Legally Blonde. "From the get-go, Ariana was like, 'I'm gonna have Alexa [Luria] as Karen, and Courtney [Chipolone] as Gretchen, and Liz [Gillies] as Cady'".

BTS' had held the record with their "IDOL" Music Video, gaining a massive 45.9M views in the 24 hour mark.

And she also thanked Witherspoon for her kind words. She shared a screenshot of the video and wrote that Grande looked more like her "13 Going on 30" character, Jenna Rink, than she did.

It has been a consistent record breaker - two days after the single dropped, Forbes reported it was the most-streamed song in one day by a female artist on Spotify, dethroning Taylor Swift's Look What You Made Me Do.

At the end of the video, Kris sits in her seat and tells the girls: "Thank you, next".
