'2.0' earns over Rs 150 crore in just two days

It is directed by Shankar and bankrolled by Lyca Productions.

Worldwide totally, 2.0 has comfortably grossed more than 90 CR on its first day, according to conservative estimates.

The film, which is a sequel to Enthiran, collected Rs 64.06 crore nett all over India, which is little more than 50 per cent of what Bahubali - The Conclusion earned on its first day.

The film also features Amy Jackson as Nila, a humanoid robot who works as an assistant to Vaseegaran. In a Hindustantimes.com box office prediction report, film exhibitor Akshaye Rathi had said about the film's opening, "The film is releasing in several languages". The film is also likely to have a free run at the CBO till Adanga Maru hits the screens on December 21, 2018. Although the film has declined on Day 2, the biz should gather momentum on Day 3 [Sat] and Day 4 [Sun]... Checkout the trailer of the sci-fi flick below and keep yourself excited for the movie. The film has crossed the Rs 200 crore-mark worldwide by its third day, with the number expected to climb further as Day 3 box office collection figures from the overseas and South Indian markets are still awaited. The film also casts Sudhanshu Pandey, Adil Hussain, Kalabhavan Shajohn, and K. Ganesh in supporting roles. It minted Rs 20.25 cr on its opening day and Rs 18 cr on the second day. Moreover, it would then make Thursday look like a bonus day, and from that perspective this number is quite a bountiful.
