The Red Dead Redemption 2 online mode's beta starts today

Red Dead Redemption 2's online beta, named Red Dead Online, has begun today for select users with the release of a new update. Online outlaws will be able to form Posses of up to seven players and engage in wholesome Wild West activities such as hunting, fishing, sitting around a campfire, and bloody murder.

After weeks of teasing and small sneak peeks from the team over at Rockstar Games, the Early Access beta for Red Dead Online finally kicks off today and will continue to roll out from now until November 30th.

Friday, November 30th: All players who own Red Dead Redemption 2. Will you be trying out the online mode this week?

Red Dead Redemption 2 included a very weighty single-player campaign that may have lasted a little too long, but do you know what will fix that?

People looking to experience the Red Dead Online beta may want to save time this week. Thursday, players who played Red Dead Redemption 2 between October 26 to October 29 will gain access.

"The launch of the Red Dead Online Beta is the first step in what will be a continually expanding and dynamic world, and the beta period will allow us to deal with the inevitable turbulence of launching any online experience of this size and scale".

As Arekkz notes in his video, markers for the signs appear on the game map, but unless you are in the general vicinity, it won't pop up.

Make It Count sees 32 players duking it out with limited weapons in the midst of a shrinking circle.

Tuesday, November 27: All Red Dead Redemption 2: Ultimate Edition owners.

The beginning point in Red Dead Online is at Sisika Penitentiary where players will receive a horse, set up a Camp, hunt for treasure, use an Ability Card, and connect with characters in the game that will set up the larger narrative, which Rockstar said involves truth, revenge, and honor. A battle royale mode was previously rumored and it looks like a new leak may confirm its existence.
