Xiaomi bringing Mi 8 Lite, Mi 8 Pro to PH

Xiaomi ranks as the fourth-largest smartphone company in the world, with customers mainly concentrated in China and parts of Asia. By bringing a range of our wonderful products at honest pricing we want to offer more choices and let everyone in the United Kingdom enjoy a connected simple life through our innovative technology.

That is now changing as today, Xiaomi held an event in London to celebrate the company's official launch in the UK.

The list of devices that will be updated to MIUI 10 Stable build are Xiaomi Mi Max 2, Xiaomi Mi 4s, Mi 4c, Mi 5s, Mi 5s Plus, Mi Max, Mi 4 and Mi Max Prime.

The Mi 8 Lite, last-gen Mi 6 flagship, Mi Max 3, Redmi Note 5, and Redmi Note 6 Pro, Mi Pad 4, and Mi Pad 4 Plus are all billed for a Q1 2019 rollout. The Mi 8 Pro is the global version of the radical looking Mi 8 Explorer Edition, while the Mi 8 Lite is their new mid-range contender that's priced from under RM1,000.

Xiaomi has also partnered with mobile network Three to sell its handsets on 24-month contracts online and in retail stores nationwide.

The most striking and unique aspect of the phone is undoubtedly the glass black. The display itself is a 6.21in AMOLED panel, using the 18.7:9 aspect ratio and 2248 x 1080p resolution. You can clearly see the NFC sensor, the large carbon-fibre wrapped battery cell and even the Snapdragon chip at the top of the phone. The Mi 8 Pro was previously launched in China, and soon after, which the company started teasing the global roll-out of the phone, and considering India is one of the most important countries for Xiaomi, we expect the phone will be coming to the country soon. As for the configurations, the Mi 8 Pro comes with a dual camera setup on the rear with a primary sensor of 12-megapixel for wide-angle shots and secondary sensor of also 12-megapixel. Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor clocked at 2.8GHz, along with Adreno 630 GPU.
