Samsung's second Android Go phone is the Galaxy J4 Core

Since this is yet another Android Go product, don't expect to be blown away by specs; the Samsung Galaxy J4 Core is a budget device through-and-through but should be more than capable for anyone who needs a stylish Android Go phone. It also has a smaller 4.6-inch “cover display”. Now, only a few months later, its quietly announced that device's follow-up: the Samsung Galaxy J4 Core.

Technalysis Research analyst Bob O'Donnell said that while the bendable screen provided a wow factor, shoppers may not like the thickness of the folded phone or its price tag.

Samsung, which makes iPhone OLED displays, will get us even closer if that Infinity-O screen prediction turns out to be accurate. It also announced its take on the notch, with not one but three notch designs for its future devices - the Infinity U, Infinity V and Infinity O.

Samsung Electronics has unveiled its much-anticipated foldable phone in San Francisco, urging Android developers to start writing apps for it.

"The foldable display lays the foundation for a new kind of mobile experience", said Koh Dong-jin, president and CEO of the IT and mobile communications division at Samsung.

As for the OLED display, Samsung says that it can withstand being folded 200,000 times, which corresponds to approximately 55 times per day for 10 years.

Samsung and Huawei have been vying to be the world's first developer of a foldable smartphone.

Royole showed off its FlexPai phone to journalists on Monday, with Samsung following suit with a foldable Galaxy X smartphone on Wednesday.
