FIREWORKS: President Trump Tells CNN's Jim Acosta to 'PUT DOWN THE MIC'

President Donald Trump paused his post-midterms press briefing Wednesday to yell at CNN's Jim Acosta, wagging his finger and calling him a "rude, bad person" and adding that CNN should be "ashamed" to have him in their employ.

As Acosta attempted to ask a follow-up question, the President made it clear he was moving on to another reporter.

After a testy exchange with CNN's Jim Acosta, NBC's Peter Alexander was next to receive the microphone.

"That's enough. Excuse me that's enough".

"Here we go", Trump said, continually interrupting Acosta as he spoke, finally losing all chill and snapping.

"That is enough", Trump said before calling on another reporter.

After being questioned about the migrant caravan and Russian Federation investigation during a post-midterms press conference, the president lashes out at the "rude, terrible" CNN chief White House correspondent. You are rude, bad person.

Acosta accused the president of attempting to frighten voters ahead of the midterms with ads depicting the migrant caravan as invaders.

When Acosta started to ask Trump about his comments calling a migrant group marching toward the southern USA border an "invasion", Trump said that's what he still considers it. I think you should let me run the country. You shouldn't be working for CNN, ' the president said to Acosta.

But as Acosta pressed on and Alexander stood there, Trump turned back to the CNN reporter.

He then berated Acosta for the way he questioned White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders in briefings.

"If I may ask one other question", Acosta said.

"When you report fake news, which CNN does a lot, you are the enemy of the people", Trump told Acosta.

"I'll tell you what", he added.

"Very hostile. Such a hostile media". And the way you treat other people is awful.
